WE MADE IT! HAPPY WEEK ELEVEN/ FINAL WEEK OF SCHOOL (6/1-6/5)!!!!
For this final week of art we will be creating a non-traditional painting! We will be taking a seasoning/spice from our pantry and drawing with it using our hands and imaginations. This final project will give you the chance to draw anything you like all while using your hands as the tools. Watch the video to the right, create your own, and take a picture of your finished project for me! You absolutely rocked this distance learning with me and I loved seeing your work every week. Thank you for putting in effort and working so hard on creating masterpieces for me each week. It was an honor being your art teacher this year and I cannot wait to see you in September!!! --------------------------------------------------------
HELLO WEEK TEN ROCKSTARS (5/26-5/29)! This week in art we will be creating a personal coat of arms! Watch the video to the right to get a sense of just what a coat of arms is. Then, I would like for you to make an outline of a personal “Coat of Arms” by using my blank outline to the right, or by finding your own on google! Next, I would like for you to draw the outside, and make sure there are 4 sections within the armor. If there is a top ribbon, I would like for you to put your name. Either your first, last, full name, or nickname works! If there is a bottom ribbon, put your favorite quote or favorite song lyrics. Now within the 4 sections of your armor, I would like for you to choose four of ANY of the following: -your family -your pet(s) -your favorite place to go -your dream job -where you’re from -favorite band -favorite school subject -hidden talent -favorite food -favorite sports team -favorite past time -favorite tv show This will be due Friday, May 29, 2020! This week we are learning about a contemporary artist by the name of Lisa Congdon. We will be creating a visually appealing collection of items that are helping you get through this pandemic. The more objects in your collection, the better it will look. Your collection should reflect items that are helping YOU get through this weird time in history. First watch the youtube video to the right about Lisa Congdon, then you will collect your items and display them on a PLAIN colored background. Put some thought into how you layout your objects! Take a picture of your completed collection. Below is a photo of my collection to help inspire you. This project is due Friday, May 15, 2020. --------------------------------------------------------
ALOHA WEEK SEVEN ARTISTIC COMPOSERS (5/4-5/7)! This week in art, we will be creating doodles out of every day objects that you find around your house. Watch the youtube video to the right to get some ideas, and definitely use your imaginations. Give me at least two different doodles! Send me a picture of your completed work by Thursday May 7th, because Friday is your day FREE of remote learning. Have fun with this! Can't wait to see what you come up with! --------------------------------------------------------
GREETINGS WEEK SIX ARTISANS! (4/27-5/1) This week in art you will be visiting an art museum virtually. I want you to choose one of the museums listed on the website link to the right to take a virtual tour of. Let your mind escape and look at some artwork. After looking around, I would like for you to become an art critic. Art critics know a lot about art and have a lot of opinions about it. People are generally interested in what art critics have to say and that’s where you will come in. Choose one piece of art being exhibited in the museum of your choice. Then you will answer the following questions writing a minimum of two sentences for questions 4-7.
HELLO TO MY WEEK FIVE CREATORS!(4/20-4/24)
First of all, I hope your Spring Break was relaxing. This week will be creating a side profile collage! This means you will be drawing your face from the side, cutting it out, then using various texts you find in newspapers/ magazines to fill in your entire face by gluing the words down. These words can be words or phrases you like, you create, words or phrases that describe you or how you are feeling, it can even be words or phrases that describe your future goals. Have fun with this! Be YOURSELF, describe YOURSELF, and above all else be kind to YOURSELF. This project is due Friday, April 24. (Below is a picture of my completed sample in case you wanted to see!) --------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY WEEK FOUR ARTISTS! (4/06-4/20) Here’s the deal friends… it is OKAY to feel sad or lonely or scared during this time. What I want you to do with all of your emotions is create a piece of artwork in chalk outside that will make people happy! Everyone needs some light in their lives right now and it is our duty as FANTASTIC artists to spread some love and positivity. Go outside and use chalk to create a masterpiece. When people walk (or roll) by, they will have the chance to see your art and allow it to put a smile on their faces. I would like you to have create reigns! If you think your neighbors walking their dog want to see a piece of pizza dressed as a zombie princess, you go right ahead my friend. Have fun with this, be safe, stay healthy, and always use your art to spread love. *If you do not have chalk, or any sidewalk to draw on that is okay! I would like for you to still draw something positive to spread smiles on a piece of paper. Fill up your entire paper with objects, words, and colors… then I want you to GIVE it to someone who needs a reminder to keep being happy. You can mail it to a grandma, drop it off at a neighbors, but I want you to remember to social distance and be conscious to stay healthy. DUE ANYTIME BETWEEN NOW AND 4/19! -------------------------------------------------------- Hello my friends!
